I'm Actually an Author?
Yes, dear reader, I'm actually an author. Why do I feel the need to say that? It's simple really. I never expected to publish anything I'd written until I did. It then took about a year for me to get over the majority of my imposter syndrome.
I wrote The Great Return it had been over 5 years since I'd written anything. Why did I suddenly start writing again? To be honest, I'd read all I could of the interactive story The Arcana and I needed a story I could obsess over just as much, if not more.
And then I started to write.
As I work on editing book 2 of the series (and write book 3) I find myself in a state of mind where I can say "I'm an author" for the first time and NOT try to disqualify myself from that title by saying "I'm a self-published author."
So here's to improving both in my story telling AND in my self-confidence!!
