Toronto’s Robin Harvey is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers whose first book of poetry, PTSD: Poems to Slay Demons, was honored with a Letter of Distinction for its high caliber, then published in 2022. Poems from the book have since been published in the 2022 annual anthology of the U.K.'s Free Verse Revolution and ThreshPress MidWest's 2023 anthology entitled The Power of the Feminine Volume 1.

Besides writing and reading poetry, Harvey covers pop culture at http://www.notthepublicbroadcaster.co... - where she writes book and theatre reviews as well as arts critiques. She's also a paid book reviewer for IndieReader.
In 2016 after an award-winning career as a journalist, Harvey returned to creative writing as Managing Editor of a university online literary magazine. She's published poetry in many journals and has blogged for many websites since her work as a reporter, editor, columnist, critic, and public editor at The Toronto Star newspaper.
She’s been a featured poet at Toronto's Artbar Poetry at the Free Times Cafe, as well as Toronto's Theatre Centre and has hosted poetry readings there. She's performed at Toronto's Buddies in Bad Times poetry readings and many other venues, including: as a regular feature in The Middle of Nowhere’s performance series podcast, broadcast from Toronto’s Alchemy Restaurant. She's read at Toronto's Hirut Café’s literature series and Sneaky Dee’s poetry slams.
Her journalism has been published in The Globe and Mail, the National Post, and the Southam and Sun news chains.
She acted in venues across Canada and has performed at Bastion Theatre, Stage West, Actor's Trunk, Buddies in Bad Times, and The Shaw Festival.
Her poems won a Letter of Distinction from Humber's post-degree Graduate Certificate Program.
A mental health advocate, Harvey helped found the Institute for Journalism Studies in Addiction and Mental Health and coordinated the Check-Up from the Neck Up anti-stigma campaign, for which she was honored with CAMH's Courage to Come Back Award.
