Amanda is an idea person, a project person, and someone who makes things. She studied graphic design, painting, and creative writing. She is passionate about life and fueled by dreams. Her dreams are so big that she moved into a mechanically questionable shuttle bus and explored the country with her wheelie dog and adventure cat from California to Wisconsin and back. Amanda illustrated Cash The Clever Canine throughout this trip. She lives and works in the desert (mostly).

Walter Tevis
“I feel free and strong. If I were not a reader of books I could not feel this way.”
Walter Tevis

Neil Gaiman
“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”
Neil Gaiman

Charles Bukowski
“Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead.”
Charles Bukowski

Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
“If you want to really hurt you parents, and you don't have the nerve to be gay, the least you can do is go into the arts. I'm not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possible can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”
Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country

Maurice Sendak
“A book is really like a lover. It arranges itself in your life in a way that is beautiful.”
Maurice Sendak
