Mirjam Dikken was born and raised in The Netherlands. She has worked around the world as a chemical engineer, recruiter, and HR manager, and lived in New Delhi, India, and Edmonton, Canada. As she and her family love living below sea level, they now settled in the Hoeksche Waard, an inland island in The Netherlands, where Mirjam wanders around in the darker places of her imagination. In June 2024, her thriller ‘Hekate’s Daughter’ was published by Stonehouse Publishing. Several of her short stories have appeared in anthologies and on the beer cans of her favourite coffee stout.

Beautiful story and beautifully written! I listened to the audiobook and now want a paper copy to highlight sentences and bookmark pages (which I never do with books).

Brilliant concept, as usual with Liane Moriarty. The start was a little slow and I sometimes skipped over long descriptions, but great development how different people deal with a strange situation.
