After retiring as a police sergeant and educator, I wrote my first self-published book—a non-scholarly adaptation of my doctoral dissertation. That led to my next nonfiction title, Hitting Rock Bottom, written with and for the at-risk students I taught at a military-style boot camp academy. Their powerful, unfiltered stories helped make the book an Amazon eBook bestseller.

That’s when I caught the writing bug—and I haven’t stopped since.

I created my strong, complex female protagonist, FBI Agent Jeannie Loomis, who now stars in sixteen thriller novels. Several books in the series are being developed for a potential television adaptation.
