Russell Dean is a Welsh author based in Cardiff and he doesn't like speaking in the third person.

So I won't.

Predominantly focused on historical fiction with sprinkles of LGBT themes, I've put my hand to many genres, some of which I've actually managed to convince my brain to finish.

My first novel, Borrowed Time, was released in July 2022 and became an Amazon bestseller. The follow up, Echoes on the Wind, released in 2024 and also became a bestseller.

I am currently in the depth of drafting on my next novel, 'It's Not Me, It's You', which will take a humorous look at gay dating and all of its disasters in a world before the apps took over.

Aside from that, the third book in the Borrowed Time series, Traveller, is also nearing release.

Read on recommendation, and I'm glad it was put my way because I'd never heard of it before. At times heartbreaking, at times funny, but almost always making you think. It's a story as relevent now as it was when it was written. Probably moreso given ...more
