Fer de la Cruz (Luis Fernando de la Cruz Herrera) is a Mexican poet and literary translator from Yucatan, Mexico. He has published over 20 titles, mostly of poetry, but also of fiction, non-fiction, and literary translation. He is a PhD candidate at University of California, Irvine, working on a dissertation on contemporary Mayan poets from a cosmopolitical perspective. He holds a Master´s Degree in Spanish from Ohio University. He was a founding professor at the School of Creative Writing of the State Center of Fine Arts, in Yucatan, where he taught for five years.
