Ulrik was always going to be an interesting story to write. He's politically astute, an excellent chevalier, and has an irreverent sense of humor. But, he's not without his troubles. Gaharet and Ulrik don't always see eye to eye. Gaharet suspected Ulrik had betrayed the pack, until Ulrik sacrificed himself to save both Gaharet and Erin, and ended up in Lothair's dungeon for his troubles. He loathes the Comte. And something happened to his family. Not to mention those scars on his throat and his raspy voice. He spends more time with his head in the wine barrel than is perhaps good for even a werewolf, and he has a wicked reputation with the ladies.
Well, Ulrik is about to meet his match. His road to redemption was never going to be easy, and Rebekah Clarke sure does keep him on his toes.
