Accelerate Action – It Starts at Home
Every year, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the achievements of women and speak about empowering them to break barriers and shatter ceilings. We share quotes, attend events, and pledge to support women’s rights. But amidst all the noise, I find myself coming back to a simple, often overlooked truth—real change begins at home.
When we talk about empowering women, our minds often drift to corporate boardrooms, political spaces, or large-scale movements. But what about the women who form ...

My two cents !!! [Covid-19]
Till a couple of days back, I assumed that - The sole purpose of education was to empower people to lead a good life and to make our society a better place to stay.
But in the wake of recent events, I am so sorry to say that, my faith has been shattered into pieces because of some educated but utterly irresponsible people.
So today I plan to address the elephant in the room - The pandemic that has brought the entire world to a standstill. Everyone is talking about it, so I don't want to shy away f...

A VERSION OF ME DURING EXAMS ...
The thousand feelings that you have in an exam hall and the myriad emotions; they cannot be penned in few words. I always had the notion that life and exam room dilemma is highly correlated. Sometimes I get neurotic and sometimes I feel humbled, angry, and disappointed all at the same time within a span of 2-3 hours. The same happens in LIFE. I feel LIFE is just another paper getting played at a slowed down mode. So I just thought maybe, I can pen a few of my thoughts down, though not all. I ha...

Don't be that GIRL !!!
She wanted to smile,
Put on a big grin on her face,
Wanted to tell how happy she was, just for a while.
But she was asked not to,
You are a girl! Girls don't laugh and make merry like that!
She wanted to have fun,
Bask in the sun, to run and race.
Skip, hop, fight her bout, eagerly waiting for her turn.
But she was asked not to,
Dear who will marry you if you get two tones tanned doing all that?
She wanted her mind to speak,
Give words to her thoughts, her opinions,
Little did she know that the world would ...

Does this sound normal to you? If it does, then you really need help and I am talking about serious help, like something is wrong with you at an alarming level. And if it doesn’t then ‘voila’ you seem to me like a “SANE” person. For now enough of this sanity test. Lets get back to our imagination.. :)
Consider an imaginary situation whe...

One fine day you just wake up. Just like any other regular day you see your mom all busy taking care of the house. Then she goes out to the market to buy some vegetables to make your favourite curry. Just when she is about to pay the “sabziwala bhaiya”, a guy zooms past your mom snatching away all her money and her gold chain. When your mom...

Saada HAQ....
Sitting thousand miles away from her husband, every single day she gets excited when it’s time to take evening cab. She reaches her room and the first thing that she does is to anxiously wait for their time zones to sync up to make a Skype call. Kind of like a ritual every single day. She shares her day with him and listens to his day at work. Then they shop together at UrbanLadder and decide on home décor, make travel plans at Makemytrip, dedicate each other songs and videos on youtubeJ. On...

And the phoenix rises…. Back from the ashes….
[Disclaimer : I am supremely bored, prefixing everything I say with "I think" or "in my opinion". So every single line that I have penned down is merely my opinion. P.S. These opinions are not my own, I am a victim of media manipulation…. :P]
A one man army, caused Congress to retire on duck, brought up a political upheaval and broomed the MODI wave to dust, romped the Delhi Elections with such big numbers that I bet most of the exit poll analysts must be resigning quietly… But was Delhi mandate ...

Bounties of "JOY"
NAIVE I was,
When you took my hand in yours and made those seven promises.
FRIGHTFUL I was,
When I had to join you and stay in those unknown premises.
HESITANT I was,
When I imagined the entirety of my life in your company.
BEWILDERED I was,
As the questions brooding in my head were so many.
DOGMATIC I was,
Cause I thought your lifestyle and ideologies were different.
ADAMANT I was,
As I could never accept I was wrong, the idea itself was deterrent.

Pumpkins and Water - Melons.....
Just a couple of days before…. I was having my lunch and I saw this news – “The Supreme Court of India, convicts Sanjay Dutt for illegal possession of arms and sentenced him to five years in prison.” I look a deep breath and started thinking, - “There is still hope for Indian Judiciary. It might not be as perfunctory as I imagine it to be”. But before I could release the gasp of air that I had so happily breathed in, the news scrolls totally shook me up and dessicated me of all the good energy.I...
