Read the first three chapters of "The Bone Crown" here!
Ready for Eamon and Alaric's next adventure?
Necromancy, but make it neighborly.
Skeletons are trimming the hedges, the village vampire is handing out glittery brochures, and ex-prince Alaric can’t decide which is worse: the polite undead following him home or the bone-crowned warlord summoning them from the north.
When King Cedric orders an emergency treaty mission, Alaric hits the road with his grumpy, green-skinned beloved Eamon (potion master–turned–ogre), an anxious ex-boyfriend with a sword, and a necromancer mentor who thinks ethics are optional. Alaric’s power comes at a price: every time he “borrows” a spirit he inherits its unfinished business—whisper debts he must repay before they devour his sanity.
Seven days, one rattling wagon, and a trail of spectral errands later, Alaric will have to choose: force the dead and risk madness, or keep asking nicely and hope courtesy can stop an immortal tyrant.
The Bone Crown & Other Unwanted Heirlooms delivers cozy fantasy warmth, slow-burn queer romance, and the cheery reminder that sometimes the dead just need to hear the magic word: please.

Also, audiobook news! An audiobook for "The Poison Paradox" is coming along with its sequel "The Bone Crown" in late September of this year!
Happy reading, everyone!

Read the First Chapters of Poison Paradox Here!
Here's the Link!
The ARCs are out, the final proof is on the way, and I can't wait for you guys to read what Felix and I have been spending the better part of a year working on after reading one too many cozy fantasies featuring orcs and werewolves.
The Poison Paradox is a bit different than most of my other works. Um. As there's ogres and no open-door love scenes (Do you guys WANT a spicy scene? Twist my arm and I might make it happen!).
But it's also the same -- families have the same dysfunctions, whether they're based in the midwest or in the royal castles of Larythmore. Brothers have the same love/jealousy for one another. And there's always, always room for redemption.
Check out the blurb below! I really hope you guys like it.
They say the dose makes the poison.
After breaking all the laws of the land to save his brother's soul from death, the cure Prince Alaric seeks may be more dangerous than the curse that plagues him.
With nowhere else to turn, Alaric tracks down his father's exiled mage only to discover that Eamon has turned into an ogre — and that he's far more interested in his gardens, chasing after his sort-of-adopted-daughter/tree nymph, and grumbling about the band of magical outcasts who flock to him than a quest to save any prince.
Can Alaric change his mind?
Or will they both find something more elusive — a remedy to the loneliness that neither potions nor magic can heal?
The Potion Paradox is a cozy fantasy novel featuring repressed longing disguised as disdain, blessings disguised as curses, curses disguised as blessings, and a very nosy woodland nymph who really wants to win a baking competition — and doesn't care what ogres she needs to annoy in order to win it.

Sorry for the delay (it was all completely my fault!).
Since "Fall Boys" is running about a week late (again, completely my fault), while my editor curses my existence, please enjoy the first four chapters for free.
If you like it, pick it up on KU or for purchase on November 14.
And thank you so much for your patience. It has been a month.
All the best,
Hadley

Fall Boys Available for Pre-Order!
Guys, I am so excited for you to read Christian and Seth's story. There's Christian, the charismatic-if-slightly-uptight-political-dynasty-poster-boy (is that enough hyphens?) who's eager to get out from under his mother's thumb...only to eagerly wind up under Seth's, the cheerful, if less-than-trusting new dom Christian meets at the club.
Shenanigans ensue, as they are wont to do. We have paparazzi, we have single fathers hosting Dungeon and Dragons nights, we have an unwitting spy, a wedding to crash, and Seth and Adam are there in the background, watching it all unfold with some virgin cocktails (pun not intended).
I should have the first few chapters up to preview soon, so stay tuned! I can't wait to share more with you guys.

Extra Chapters for "Rent Boys"
Writing "Rent Boys" was an exercise in restraint. I originally started the novella through Sean's POV, but Adam kept poking through and taking charge like the Type A perfectionist he is.
So, in order to keep the pacing, I streamlined the narrative.
But the more I work on Christian's story, the more I realize that there's a lot of backstory in Sean's early chapters that shape Christian and Sean's relationship in the books to come, as well as flesh out Sean's feelings for Adam and his antagonism with his older brother.
Not enough for a novella of his own, but I've decided to weave the missing chapters together into their own prequel that takes place just before "Rent Boys" from Adam's POV.
I hope you enjoy a peak behind the scenes, and stay tuned for Christian's story, coming soon!
Read Sean's POV Here!
All the best,
Hadley
(And just a friendly reminder--these chapters take place before Adam and Sean ever get together. There are some scenes of them with other partners, so if that's something you don't enjoy, please feel free to skip! The site asks for your email address to send the chapters, but will only add you to my mailing list if you directly request it.)
