NaNoWriMo anyone?

Anyone else out there taking the challenge this year? I did it last year. The book 81 Miles came out of it. Did the whole thing in a month and I didn't even start till the 8th.
To be fair, that book had a HUGE amount of my own life in it. So it didn't really need much plotting and I'd been thinking it out for years. It was the closest to a memoir I will ever get. It just sort of poured out of me. I have never written so fast. Nor will I ever again.
THIS year is a bit more of a challenge. I am working full time now. A big change from last year. I am working with the hope that I can get to the end of the first draft of my new book. Just working on my days off. So far this month I have added about 5,000 words. Not bad for 12 days. But I'm hoping to add another 20,000 before the month is over. Yikes. Light a candle for me.

Greetings!

I thought it was time I started blogging. I want to see what all the fuss is about.
As for my series, I am half to three quarters done with the next book about Claire, Maggie, and those pesky Delaware ghosts. I'm hoping to have it ready by the beginning of next year. But don't hold me to that. Valentine's Day may be a better guess.
As for what's coming next? Dare I say Maggie may get a book of her own? Something a bit different? Could be!
What am I reading? Right now I am working on the bookclub's December selection, My Heart Is A Chainsaw. I'm loving it so far. And on my way to and from work, I am listening to the dulcet tones of Patrick Stewart's voice as he reads me his memoir. So lovely. I'd listen to him read the phonebook.
