When J.A. Stein isn't dreaming up stories of centuries past, you can find her training horses like those in her stories. Or perhaps you won't find her at all, as she frequently disappears into America's stunning wilderness to chase adventure. She loves to read anything with a plot and makes it a goal to write stories that can't be put down.

Barnes and Noble here I come!

I am heading back to the Bethlehem/Easton, PA location of Barnes and Noble! Whoo hoo! I actually had a reader reach out and say, “When are you coming back?”. Thank you, Christine, for that confidence booster! I am excited to return to this beautiful store to sign all of my books. I will be there from 1-4pm on Saturday, January 31, 2026 with bookmarks (including the new ones for Patch Town) in tow.

Wow

Well, I thought I saw that ending coming, but then the ending CAME. I'm one that gets annoyed with amnesia in books because they get so repetitive, but in this one I couldn't stop reading. I felt there had to be a reason the story was being told t
