Lisa Larkins grew up in America’s heartland in a time when parents still hollered out the front door to call kids home for supper, and families still ate together at the table. An only child, Lisa learned to amuse herself at a young age, which often meant getting lost in a good book, or dreaming up her own stories. Besides reading and writing, Lisa also loves music, the ocean, thunderstorms, cats, and everything that has anything to do with Hawaii. She wrote the Thorns of Paradise duet in celebration of the Hawaiian culture, mythologies, and beauty, but with a fictional bend which makes the story uniquely her own.
