Prolixity and Profundity

Sometimes, to make our work more descriptive or to sound more important, writers resort to wordiness, or prolixity. The irony is that instead of making our meaning clearer, we cloud it by padding our work with unnecessary replacement words, redundancies, and canned phrases.
