A Day with No Words - Coming Back this November!

When A Day with No Words was first released, I had no idea how deeply it would resonate with families, educators, and kids. The book found its way into classrooms, libraries, and homes all over the world, and it became a #1 New York Times bestseller. For a picture book about an autistic boy and his mom using a tablet to communicate, that meant everything, because it showed how ready people are for stories that reflect real autistic voices and lives.

Now, I’m thrilled to share that A Day with No Words is getting a special rerelease on November 4, 2025 — this time with even more ways to experience it, including an audiobook edition.

Why a rerelease? Because this book isn’t just mine. It belongs to every child who deserves to see their communication honored. It belongs to every parent searching for stories that help explain AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) to siblings, classmates, or teachers. It belongs to educators who want to open their students’ hearts to inclusion.

As we move into AAC Awareness Month this October, I can’t wait to keep sharing this story. If you loved the book the first time, I’d be so grateful if you added it here on Goodreads, preordered a copy for your favorite teacher or librarian, or even just spread the word to a friend. Preorders matter so much for books — they tell publishers, bookstores, and libraries that this is a story worth sharing far and wide.

Thank you for walking alongside me and my family on this journey. Stories like this only make their way into the world because of readers like you.

With gratitude,

Tiffany Hammond
