I thought again about the difference in our lives. "We go to visit David's family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Only for the weekend. In America, there's no week off for Chinese New Year or National Day. I have a week of vacation per year, and sometimes I need to use them for sick days. David and his friend founded a company, so he often works day and night. We never had enough time."
Ainara didn't sound cruel, but her words pierced. "There is never enough time–there is only time.”
