Daniel Varona, being the youngest of three, has been a fan of video games from a very early age and was heavily inspired by some recognizable classics. What piqued his interest in writing was the attention to detail those passionate developers pulled off at the time, no matter the technical limitations. Catching these small details impacted and elevated the storytelling experience for any consumer keen enough, making them understand and think on concepts themselves rather than being told everything point blank. This hobby, along with other creative outlets, brought to fruition Daniel’s desire to write his own story.

When you as an author find a way to connect events, locations and character backgrounds throughout the story is just as rewarding for you as it is your readers. Some readers may not catch the little details you leave behind explaining why something is the way it is, but some will, and their experience will be expounded by this.(less)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

From my standpoint, me writing out all four books of my Cycle of Eden series before publishing the first book was a huge benefit. This allows you to make your world more concrete by connecting dots and details you wouldn't have if you worked on one novel at a time. For me, drafting out timelines also expanded the world building and growth that led to more ideas. Another huge component I used when writing was using Music to my advantage. Listening to music really helps convey and evoke whatever emotion you are looking for in a scene. For example, getting yourself in a sad mood isn't healthy, but using more melancholy music can put you in a space to better describe a scene.(less)
