Book Review - The Guard of Woestynn by E.M. McConnell
I just finished this one, and it might just be my favorite read of 2023 so far!
I generally don't read much in this genre, but I downloaded the book during the free promo because I love Eryn's writing so much! And Eryn, as always, did not disappoint!
Ford's journey in prison made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions, including horror, disgust, awe, happiness, and much more. I love him as a character and loved seeing his growth throughout the short story. I am excited to see more of him in the series!
The warden was my second favorite character from the book, and I am intrigued to learn more about him. Hoping his book comes out soon so I can learn why he is the way he is.
The final scene had my emotions all over the place, and I have never been this invested in a book that is not romance. Props to Eryn for writing this masterpiece. It truly is a fantastic read that captivated me from the first chapter and left me wanting more by the end of the last page.
I am glad I chose to read this book despite it being out of my comfort area genre-wise. Excited for more books from Eryn. I highly recommend this one to all sci-fi lovers out there!E.M. McConnellThe Guard of Woestynn

Book Review - Always By Loren Leigh
Just finished this one. I will be thinking about this story for a long, long time. I can promise you that already.
Kepler is the greenest of flags to ever exist! I wish that man was real. The relationship between him and Jin was heartwarming, sexy and everything else in between. I had to pause several times while reading because it just got me so emotional.
Keplet stole my heart though. And Jin's backstory broke my heart several times. But I am glad it worked out in the end. Jin deserves the world.
Absolutely in love with these two tbh. I will be looking forward to London's story. And everything else this author releases in the future! If you like mm romance and the "brother's best friend" trope, go for this one. You won't be disappointed at all!

Book Review - Kingdom of Forgotten Curses By A.R. Kaufer
Rating - 3.5 rounded up to a 4 :)
This was a beautiful "beauty and the beast" retelling. I loved how Autumn honored the original story, and also added twists of her own. Especially a vampire beast!!
Mina and Dracke are a sweet pair! there were many emotional moments, and Dracke's letter left me in tears. It was beautiful. The intimate scenes were written very well as well. I loved the overall story and am extremely happy with how it ended too.
It took me some time to develop a liking to Mina, but I ended up loving her. Dracke and Celine were definitely my favs though. Overall an extremely satisfying romance :)
