S (fka "Sarah") Maxfield is a genderqueer, bi+, and disabled author with roots in dance and theater. S writes primarily young adult fiction in various forms, including comics, flash fiction, and longer works—usually with a speculative twist. Their work includes a short story featured in the anthology WE MOSTLY COME OUT AT NIGHT: 15 QUEER TALES OF MONSTERS, ANGELS & OTHER CREATURES (Running Press Teen, 2024) and flash fiction published in JUST YA (Open OK State 2024), Black Fox Literary Magazine, Voyage YA by Uncharted, and WinC Magazine. Maxfield's mini comics collection ASSORTED SWEETS sold out twice at the legendary NYC comics shop Forbidden Planet, after successfully funding through Kickstarter.
