Davina was raised in a small desert town in southern Arizona as the youngest of five children to a single mother, an upbringing that shaped her resilience, independence, and early love of imagination.

Driven by a lifelong commitment to service, Davina joined the United States Marine Corps, where she developed discipline, leadership, and a deep understanding of human character. She later continued her service‑oriented path as a correctional officer and then as a police officer, experiences that strengthened her belief in community, empathy, and the transformative power of guidance. Throughout these roles, her spirit as a teacher and educator remained constant, shaping the way she approaches both people and storytelling.

Davina eventually pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s degree followed by an MBA, further refining her analytical skills and expanding her understanding of systems, political, economic, and social, that now inform her worldbuilding.

Creatively, Davina has been telling stories since childhood, drawing characters, filling notebooks, and GMing play‑by‑post RPGs long before she knew she was building the foundation of her writing life. Today, she writes primarily in sapphic fantasy, with additional interests in science fiction and romance. Her work centers themes of belonging, love, and adventure, with a mission to craft stories where readers can truly see themselves, no matter how magical the setting. She aims to offer hope, joy, and a sense of possibility through narratives that feel emotionally authentic and deeply human.

Most at home in the quiet hours of the night, Davina describes her creative alignment as “chaotic cozy,” a blend of structured worldbuilding and intuitive storytelling. She is particularly passionate about designing intricate political systems, economies, and cultural frameworks that give her fictional worlds depth and credibility.
