Matthew T. Hill grew up in Oroville, California where he began a career in Park Maintenance with California State Parks. After moving to Marin County, to work at Mt. Tamalpais State Park, he attended College of Marin at Kentfield and acquired Associate Degrees in History and Political Science. He also studied Greek history, creative writing, and improv, as well as Kenpo Karate where he met his eventual wife.

After they married, Matthew and his wife moved to Seattle, Washington where he continued working for public parks and where he completed his first novel, The Man Scouts. He has several novels currently at various stages of completion and hopes to soon continue the journey into the literary world.
