I am pleased to share my experience from my very first book-sale event at the 46th Chennai Book Fair this January.
To be honest, it was too good to be true at first. As a debut indie author, I couldn't believe that copies of my books were really going to be displayed in a stall at the book fair.
All my life, for at least a decade, I have visited the same book fair as so many things: a reader, a bibliophile, a literary critic, a reviewer, a fangirl, a book dragon and many more. But this was the first time I entered the book fair as a writer. I was practically over the moon when I collected my writer's pass for the entry.
Especially, seeing copies of my book 'God Bless You Devil Kiss You' displayed alongside various best-selling authors that I grew up reading was absolutely a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience for me.
