Since I’m starting a new romantic suspense book – and new series – I decided to blog about the process and writing as I go.

Day one – reviewed notes of the synopsis and proposal I wrote to sell the idea.

I have a blueprint – now what?

Now the fun begins. I love the rough draft stage, but my head sometimes goes all over the place.

A gorgeous day in Georgia so I took a walk to think (plotting murder on a nice sunny day in my suburban neighborhood. And no one knows the dark thoughts running through my head! I feel so wicked and decadent.)

A dozen voices and characters in my head – this is the exciting part, but also I feel a little crazy. Raced home to write it all down.

Epiphany about the backstory which is making me want to write a prequel short story. Have to run that by my editor.

But love it when the ideas start flowing!

Summer is here – time for vacations and kicking back with a good book!

Speaking of books — I have some new releases to share:

WORTH DYING FOR, the third novel in my Slaughter Creek series, is out now and the fourth book DYING FOR LOVE is available for preorders. I’m also working on some special extras regarding the series which I will be sharing on Facebook and Pinterest soon so stay posted.

For a lighter read, I started a sexy romantic suspense series titled Seven Nights based on three soldiers who are given a week’s leave.

Just coming off a dangerous mission, they are ready for some rest and relaxation.

I’m so excited that spring is in the air. With flowers starting to bloom and trees budding, so is love and romance!

It’s been a busy year for me, and I’ve kept my head buried in the computer working to put out new projects.

I’m thrilled to say that book 3 in the Slaughter Creek series – WORTH DYING FOR – will be out soon! Also, I just finished the sequel, the 4th book in the series, DYING FOR LOVE which should be out in the fall!

WORTH DYING FOR takes you into the mind of another sadistic serial killer born from the Slaughter Creek experiments and brings together Agent/profiler Liz Lucas with her former lover/coworker Agent Rafe Hood. Suspenseful and sexy!

And finally, you get Amelia Nettleton’s story in DYING FOR LOVE! Her story is an emotional and suspenseful journey, and I promise there are lots of twists and turns along the ride.

I’ll be at the Romantic Times Convention in New Orleans in May signing the first three books and would love to meet readers if you’re in the area.

First of all, thanks to all my readers for your wonderful support!

This year started with a bang with the release of DYING TO TELL, the first book in my Slaughter Creek series. Just this last week it hit # 1 on the German Amazon bestseller list making it an international bestseller!!! It also hit # 1 on the Romantic Suspense Thriller list in the UK and has garnered some great reviews.

In June, look for the second book in the series HER DYING BREATH! I’m busy now working on the beginning of the third book WORTH DYING FOR.

Also, this month brought the last of my Harlequin Intrigue mini-series the Bucking Bronc Lodge (all three are still available!). Ending the series was a little sad, but that means I’m moving on to other projects that I’m also excited about. In fact, I just finished the manuscript for the first book in a two-part Cold Case series also set in Texas featuring two sexy cowboy cops. Pub dates and titles to be announced.

And in March, look for the New Orleans anthology COVER ME that I wrote with fave Intrigue authors and friends Joanna Wayne and Mallory Kane.

On the lighter side, I have two boxed sets of my romantic comedies now available for a bargain and more projects in the works!
