Not my favorite of Backman’s stories, but I might have been influenced by the audiobook narrator’s highly annoying performance.

It’s definitely a unique storyline! I was immediately hooked, and enjoyed quite a few of the episodes. I got a little tired of the main character’s narcissism after a while but the writing was compelling enough to keep me reading to the end.

It’s hard to evaluate this book. The writing is good and easy to read. The multiple changes in viewpoint characters and timelines were really hard to follow, and it took quite a while for each of the characters to become unique individuals in my mind ...more
