Costune Not Included shortlisted for Endeavour Award
Costume Not Included, the second novel in the To Hell and Back urban fantasy series, has been shortlisted for the Endeavour Award.
The award is named for the ship captained by the great navigator James Cook when he explored and mapped the Pacific Northwest from Oregon up to Haida Gwai (the Queen Charlotte Islands). It's a juried award, given for a distinguished science fiction or fantasy book written by a Pacific Northwest author or authors and published in the previous year.
It's been established to the satisfaction of the Endeavour's governors that, although I wander the world as a homeless housesitter, I remain an author of the Pacific Northwest.
The winner will be announced at OryCon, the Oregon sf con, in November.

Meaning of Luff shortlisted for Endeavour
The Meaning of Luff and Other Stories
, my self-published collection (seven short stories and two novellas) has been shortlisted for the Endeavour Award. As always, the winner will be announced at Orycon in November.
The collection chronicles the operations and misadventures of Luff Imbry, corpulent art forger and master thief of Old Earth in the aeon before The Dying Earth. The stories were originally published in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction and Postscripts. The novellas were published in limited editions by PS Publishing.
The Endeavour is awarded annually for "a distinguished science fiction or fantasy book written by a Pacific Northwest (US and Canada) author or authors and published in the previous year."
Four other works are on the shortlist: "King of Swords" by Dave Duncan (47North); "Nexus" by Ramez Naam (Angry Robot); "Protector" by C.J. Cherryh (DAW Books); and "Requiem" by Ken Scholes (Tor Books).
The Meaning of Luff can be purchased as an ebook ($3.99) or a POD paperback ($12.99) from the Archonate Bookstore.

Signing, etc., at WorldCon
I haven't got a lot of scheduled activities at WorldCon, although I may shamelessly crash a panel or two. I did that at Melbourne's WorldCon and it worked out well.
Officially, I've got two signings on Saturday: an all-comers event from 11 to noon at the convention autographing area; and one for PS Publishing at their table in the dealers room from 2 to 3 pm.
I'll be spending some time in the convention hospitality room and in the bar. Feel free to come and say hello.
I'm also going to bring some copies of my Endeavour Award-nominated collection, The Meaning of Luff and Other Stories, to give away. They're intended for winning new readers, but I'd probably give one to a devoted fan.
Hope to see you there.
