I’m excited to share that my all-new book series, Unicorn Boy debuts on March 12th 2024.

Brian is a totally normal, completely ordinary kid. Until the day he grows a unicorn horn! Not only is it HUGE…it sparkles, it sings, and attracts the forces of evil!
Becoming a unicorn superhero is the last thing a shy kid like Brian wants. But when his best friend Avery gets swiped by sinister shadow creatures, Brian must team up with a talking muffin and a black cat…and go on an epic underworld adventure to save the day! Can Unicorn Boy save his best friend from the underworld?

Unicorn Boy will be published by First Second books in the US and Hachette in the UK.

I am available for various presentations, workshops, zoom visits, panels, and events at your school, bookstore, library, or conference. I deliver a lively, visual discussion on comics, and how they’ve served as inspiration throughout my life, fostering a love for reading and a passion to make my own books.

From brainstorming ideas, writing and revising, sharing art supplies & techniques, plus live drawing demonstrations, I invite people of all ages into the world of cartooning. Showing how I went from self-publishing black and white handmade minicomics to full-color graphic novels sold in bookstores, I hope to demystify the process and inspire everyone to create their own visual stories!

Fountains of Wayne were one of my all-time favorite bands. Adam Schlesinger produced so much other great music with tons of legendary folks. This is such a tragedy. I hate when people referred to Fountains of Wayne as a one-hit-wonder because they wrote so many amazing songs I could never pick a favorite! Any other fans out there? Share your top 5s!
