Second…moreFirst, I schedule my writing blocks and hold that time sacred. I only cancel if something happens that I would cancel with my best client over. Second, I don’t try to write chronologically. I choose a topic that suits me that day. Third, I center myself by deep breathing, clearing my head and focusing on my topic. Fourth, I NEVER try to edit and write simultaneously. I just do a brain dump of what I want to say. Finally, I give myself permission to write crap! I can always edit it later and i’ll never get that time back so I use it to maximum advantage by getting words on the screen or paper.(less)
