Filling Up on Haibun

A few weeks ago, during the peak of a heat wave, I took the kids to the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park. Despite the weather, we had a great time, and I decided to capture one of the moments in a haibun.

hey tim,

thanks for the invite. good to see another poetry lover--all of mine pretty much are, too.

good luck with the sonnets. let me know when it comes out. i'm putting together an anthology of closed form poems and i'd love to include a "green original" in the sonnet chapter.
