So my second work is now on here and available on Amazon, lessons learnt have been challenging and hard with the success of my first book NO EXAGGERATION, but having learnt those lessons I now present THE FIREWORK FILES - please enjoy and feel free to give me honest reviews!!The Firework Files

After a few soggy months we are basking in a beautiful sunny Sunday and I am delighting in the fact that novel number two is nearly ready to be launched, thanks to Pharos Books of India! Thank you for believing in me my dear publisher, another traditional contract so my only outlay has been time, sweat and many tears! THE FIREWORK FILES is pure fiction, unlike NO EXAGGERATION, which was based on my own life story. I have taken serious note of several comments about my inadequate editing, so hopefully this time I got it right! New to this game, lol! it started 10 years ago! Foolishly I thought that being published was enough to generate sales...how wrong can a woman be! But I continue to believe, and continue to write.

Well, that's Christmas over for another year, thank the Lord! Too boozy, too much drama and a nice liddl slice of Covid for me, just to finish it off. Now, out with the old, in with the new. My second work THE FIREWORK FILES is with Pharos of India and I await my next contract. Traditional again, with my only outlay being sweat and tears, thankfully no blood:)

So I am tracking my 10 paperback copies of NO EXAGGERATION that I shipped to various parts of the States, looking forward to hearing what the winners of my giveaway think about my first work. A few recent reviews have pointed out some errors but the criticisms were balanced with some lovely comments, please don't forget that the story is based on real life - warts and all.

It just remains to say Happy New Year from a liddl place called Little Sandhurst, England.

What a weekend Remembrance proved to be this year. We spent two days in decadence! Eating and drinking and giving thoughts to those who fell to keep us safe. The Big Man wore his medals with pride whilst my heart was filled with more than I can explain. So I now can take my mind to Christmas and all that it will entail.

Bonfire night 2023, Happy Anniversary to my 'Big Man' - 17 years of us, now that's a big time span indeed.
Halloween has been n gone in a spooky flash, the clocks have gone back and its dark at 5pm, and we celebrate Remembrance Sunday in a weeks time with 1 minutes silence at 11am.
Talking of numbers, I launched a giveaway last Wednesday, 10 copies to be sent to 10 lucky winners - so far 1165 have applied - who knew!!

October 2023 and I have finally been accepted into the Goodreads author programme after a year of trying! Still, as my agent advised me, time has no importance in the literary world, wise words indeed from Emerantia Parnell-Gilbert of the Gilbert Literary Agency.

So it is of no importance really that it was a mere 9 years ago that the concept for my debut novel came to me and that it wasn't going to be for another 7 years that Pharos Books of India would offer me a traditional publishing contract, and a year later I would hold a copy of my novel.

My ascent up a veritable mountain has been a long one but I will continue to climb it, knowing that my 2nd work is with my publisher and my 3rd is being written.

NO EXAGGERATION is hard hitting, holding no punches as it is based on a true story - MINE! I welcome your reviews, warts and all! Will you join me on my journey?
