On the Sea Shore

As part of my writing retreat this weekend. I took two chapters to edit with me on my road trip. I got up and about very early working on them with this peaceful view.
This beautiful seaside is in Muscat. I saw it last night,  and choose to write here in the morning, marking another post from this city.

On going....

Today – I serious started editing my query letter – its now the fifth time I have re-read it out loud and wrote it all over again. On hold, is the third round of edits on the MS. I have slowly started to let in their ideas of the next project to flow, That's why I love creativity.Back to my Query Letter, impressively NOT easy to write, especially writing it for the very first time, could be just be like facing an endless horizon of dilemmas on what to dump, and what not:)

My Weekend

Hi everyone!

Feels great to be back at the blogosphere!

This is how the sun rose over the windy Reem Island  on Friday morning. even after a cup of coffee ☕️, I didn't feel the inspiration to write. Spoke with my sister for sometime during the day and after the call i wanted to read  something. luckly,i instantly thought of something.... to listen to,an audio book "Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand" which i have on my Ipad.

Late in the afternoon after continuous 3 hours into "unbroken". I stepped out of the apartment quickly,i had almost missed my appointment with the barber. It was super windy allover and  sand blowing everywhere all day.

I must say i am smitten by this new  TV show Grand Tour, I have now watched it until Episode 4, and am  sure i won't miss Top Gear .....lol.

One step at a time

Its time now to share my newly completed manuscript, list of dream agents ready. I feel proud of it and on the other hand a bit nervy…… At this moment, am blinded by excitement to start sending out the queries to agents until I finally find one who will see a genius in my work. However, I should not be surprised if the phone doesn't ring and the email never comes. Having all that I mind, am not deterred, this is it and I must seize this moment.

Absence so far

I'm still not sure how to re-introduce myself again – it feels rather like starting a new novel in that perspective. How do you explain my absence from the blogosphere? What have I been about? How do you make people believe that you’re a serious and your blog worth reading about? Trust me, I could type out a long and never-ending narrative about a year I've been away, but it wouldn't be quite  interesting as a description of one of my new project’s prologue.

Samples of the Brew

Hi everyone,

I hope this is cool news to everyone of you following my blog. And apparently, its been a while since i last made a post about my writings.  As you all know,i have been working on this book "Lost in agony" which will be my next book.

From this month on,i will be posting Draft chapters of this for you to have a behind the scene experience on how the book transforms from written blog posts into an actual publishable novel. I wasn't so sure on taking this decision because of my overwhelming desire to share my work with you !

And here we go, watch out for the Prologue of "LOST IN AGONY"

Not totally Unique

Hey Folks,
Will and Traci have a great idea! But look guys, why don't we all try this;I have a feeling it may work for some of youguys as well as it works for me. Though, I'm afraid that some may find itboring…..lol.When I'm working on any dialogue of my stories,I always read them line-by-line addition to that, I read them out loudly, imagineyou're in the shoes  of your maincharacter in that scene, caught between the rock and a hard place…... I think, this is one way you would be able to identify a non sparkling dialogue becauseyour mind will obviously pick it up.You can revise and modify your dialogue as yougo along and it's extremely helpful to have a good sense of what leads to thatdialogue before the character says it to the other.Be honest to yourself, don't be afraid of deletion.Change dialogues in your scenes that are not compelling or you feel they'reabrupt. If you find your dialogues interesting, the readers will as well enjoythem like you did while writing them.
I also suggest that idea Will and Traciproposed. The guys at DUCTAC are fabulously awesome.

Now on the back of the wind

Well; I've gone a little overboard on the books last month but it was a stellar month and I like to support fellow authors by reading their works.

I'm reviewing the paperback edition of this book. I was sure of what to expect from the Now on the back of the wind, having heard the author read two poems from the book; at the poetry workshop. It's a terrific compendium of poetry all written by frank.

I wonder whether you guys have come across any of franks’ poetry work. There truly clever poems on a wide range of subjects in his book. Sincerely, it’s the first time I have read poetry to such a depth but I adored his poetry collection. It's cute and clever. Well and when I spoke to Frank – I mention it to him, especially my favorite poems in his main stream collection.
