Douglas was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to McHenry along the beautiful Fox River. After spending such a short season there, one of Doug’s fonder moments as a young child, forced to move with his family to other places in the west before settling down in Medford, Oregon. “We lived in a couple of places in Oregon first, Tillamook, Coos Bay, and Central Point. After all, it’s nice to read about the happenings around there. So much has changed and I doubt if I would even recognize the Rouge Valley, let alone Medford now.” "Noodles" as his friends call him, a name coined by a childhood bully that Doug was, without a doubt, forced to engage and later overcome as the years passed. "Oh yes indeed, no body, no foul..." Anyway, it was in his youth living in Medford that Douglas caught the ever-consuming bug into the dark ominous world of the creative writing talent........more
