| Great introduction by Lillian Hellman, and the collection itself starts out well, then the last few stories are a drag, but at least they seem like they could’ve inspired Pynchon, so there’s that. Not Hammett’s best material (The Maltese Falcon, pres ...more | |

| A series of interior lives exploding around each other, in an old-fashioned book meant to remind the present about a thing or two…A hope that all of that wasn’t as bad as it seemed. And the real world around it, perhaps. Brilliant, in parts, pedestri ...more | |

"This book is filled with lush, gorgeous artwork by Karl Kershl and Msassyk. It's like looking at a Studio Ghilbi cartoon. Unfortunately, Brenden Fletcher's story can't keep up with the artwork. I had no idea what was happening half the time, you can'"

| The big fight is peppered with little memories, suggestions about how it happened and how it ends…Epic scale, especially considering this is the third volume chronicling just this alone… | |

| Wow! would I’ve been lost if I’d started here, and even then, I still only know two previous volumes worth of lore, but there are hints, here, of the mythology. Stone that, though, there’s an impressive feel of epic scale here that a lot of superhero ...more | |

| Turns out I had collected the twenty-sixth volume, too, belatedly, and had misfiled it. Glad I did! There’s foreshadowing to the next volume, and there’s a lot of character work in this one, giving me a better idea of what the series is like, and a m ...more | |

Mercyhurst was a pretty great community to be a part of for a year. I can only wonder what it would've been like for three more. I've never experienced a school merger. Erie itself was pretty great, reminded me a lot of my native Maine. I'm always working on something! Hope post collegiate life has treated you well.
Hi, Tony! Thanks for contacting me. Congratulations on your books! I hope you're well and having a great week. I'm glad you spent a year in Erie, PA, how did you like it? How did you like Mercyhurst? I attended Villa Maria College and Gannon University (during their merger--was accepted at both, started at Villa, graduated from Gannon. Have you ever lived through a school or college/university merger?). Well, happy reading, writing, and everything else, and all the best for future projects! Have a good day. Blessings!Best wishes from Majenta
