In high school, he created the comic strip "Newsroom" for the Academic Advocate, which published it from 1998-1999. He wrote a regular opinion column for UMaine's Maine Campus from 2002-2003. Read the best of what's around, not just the specific genre you intend to write. You aren't just aiming at immediate success. Your chances for that elusive long-term success don't just hinge on finding a story that has mass appeal, but one that has a chance to rewrite all the rules. And you can't do that by following all the existing ones. Blaze your own trail. Be bold. (less)

The Kindle edition of Collider is now available!

This has literally been thirty years in the making. I’ve been developing the Danab Cycle this whole time, too, but the first story, the oldest story, had the humblest origins and as a result, had a complex journey to become a reality last year, in the process possibly becoming itself the most complex and ambitious story in

Tony Laplume Mercyhurst was a pretty great community to be a part of for a year. I can only wonder what it would've been like for three more. I've never experienced a school merger. Erie itself was pretty great, reminded me a lot of my native Maine. I'm always working on something! Hope post collegiate life has treated you well.

Majenta Hi, Tony! Thanks for contacting me. Congratulations on your books! I hope you're well and having a great week. I'm glad you spent a year in Erie, PA, how did you like it? How did you like Mercyhurst? I attended Villa Maria College and Gannon University (during their merger--was accepted at both, started at Villa, graduated from Gannon. Have you ever lived through a school or college/university merger?). Well, happy reading, writing, and everything else, and all the best for future projects! Have a good day. Blessings!

Best wishes from Majenta
