Michael Craven is the author of the John Darvelle mysteries, The Detective & the Desert Sky, The Detective & the Chinese High-Fin, and The Detective & the Pipe Girl, as well as the standalone mystery Body Copy.

He has been nominated for the Nero Wolfe Award for best mystery of the year and has twice been a finalist for the Shamus Award for best P.I. novel of the year.

He grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, lived for many years in Los Angeles, and now lives and works in New York City.
