False Teachers

This week we continue exploring the question:

How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we uncover fourteen tactical strategies that the enemy uses to oppose God’s people—along with Spirit-empowered antidotes to resist them.

Tactic 13: False Teachers

“No man is exempted from the subtle deception of doctrinal drift—the man of God expects this temptation.”
Gary Rohrmayer

Biblical Foundation

1 Timothy 4:1–2

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.”

Paul does not mince words: false teaching is not merely human error—it is energized by spiritual deception. Teachers influenced by “seducing spirits” present ideas that sound appealing but slowly lead people away from the gospel. This battle for truth is a spiritual battle.

The Problem: Doctrinal Drift

J. Robert Clinton warns:

“Satan uses demons to influence teachers to give false doctrines that appeal to people. They are actually described as seducing spirits, hypocritical liars with no conscience.”

The danger is not always blatant heresy; often it is the subtle drift—adding to the gospel, minimizing the authority of Scripture, or elevating personal opinion above biblical truth. Once the conscience is seared, false teachers can spread deception with confidence and charisma. The result is confusion, division, and mission drift within the church.

The Antidote: Teaching the Truth with Clarity and Courage

Clinton offers this antidote:

“A Bible-centered leader like Timothy should teach the truth about these evil doctrines, countering these heresies.”

The antidote to false teaching is not silence or avoidance but truth—boldly taught, lived, and guarded. Paul urges Timothy (1 Timothy 4:6–16) to:

Expose Error – Call out falsehood and contrast it with sound doctrine.

Nourish on Scripture – Be grounded in “the truths of the faith and of good teaching.”

Train in Godliness – Emphasize holiness as the fruit of true teaching.

Set an Example – Back up teaching with a life marked by love, purity, and faith.

Watch Life and Doctrine Closely – Guard both belief and behavior with vigilance.

Persevere – Endure in truth for the sake of both leaders and their hearers.

Reflective Questions

Where could the enemy try to undermine your personal theological convictions?

In what ways could the enemy subtly influence your church’s theological framework?

What is Paul’s strategy for protecting the church from false teachers? (See 1 Timothy 4:4–16)

What is Paul’s strategy for combating personal doctrinal drift? (See 1 Timothy 4:4–16)

How does theological drift eventually lead to missional drift in the church?

Prayer

Holy Father, Beautiful Savior, God of all truth,
Protect Your church from the delusions of the enemy.
Help us to cherish and nourish the deep truths of the faith.
Fill our lives with sound teaching that fuels a passion for You and a hunger for mission.
Raise up leaders who watch their lives and doctrine closely—who live what they teach and set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
Teach us to preserve the truth for ourselves, for those we lead, and for Your glory.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Immaturity and Pride

This week we continue exploring the question:

How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we uncover fourteen tactical strategies that the enemy uses to oppose God’s people—along with Spirit-empowered antidotes to resist them.

Tactic 12: Immaturity and Pride

“There is nothing worse for a young convert than to be thrust into leadership without mentoring and ongoing coaching because the devil relishes these vulnerable souls.” – Gary Rohrmayer

Biblical Foundation

1 Timothy 3:6“He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil.”

Paul makes it clear: leadership in the church is not merely about gifting or zeal but about maturity. A young believer, even if enthusiastic and gifted, may not yet have the spiritual depth and humility required for leadership. Pride—the very sin that led to Satan’s downfall—becomes a deadly snare for the immature leader.

The Problem: Pride Exploited by the Enemy

J. Robert Clinton warns:

“Satan can take a young leader out of ministry due to pride.”

Satan exploits unchecked ambition, fragile identity, and premature elevation. Leaders placed in roles too soon may mistake position for spiritual authority, confuse charisma for character, and equate influence with maturity. Once pride takes root, it breeds arrogance, moral compromise, and ultimately disqualification.

The Antidote: Slow, Intentional Development

Clinton offers a wise caution:

“Potential young leaders should not be placed into leadership responsibility too soon.”

The church must resist the temptation to fast-track leaders simply because of giftedness or need. Instead, healthy leadership development should include:

Spiritual Foundations – Grounding in Scripture, prayer, and obedience.

Mentoring Relationships – Seasoned leaders like Barnabas walking alongside emerging ones.

Character Formation – Testing and proving faithfulness in small things before larger responsibilities (Luke 16:10).

Training Pathways – Intentional discipleship, coaching, and equipping for specific leadership roles.

Community Accountability – Leadership discerned and affirmed within the body of Christ, not driven by personal ambition.

This process protects young leaders from unnecessary harm and preserves the witness of the church.

Reflective Questions

How does your church define spiritual maturity?

How does your church define spiritual leadership?

What intentional avenues exist for spotting potential leaders in your congregation?

What mentoring pathways help new converts grow into future leaders?

Do you have a structured training process for equipping and mentoring deacons?

Do you have a structured training process for equipping and mentoring elders?

Prayer

Father in Heaven, protect Your church from carelessly thrusting recent converts into leadership. Teach us to nurture, equip, and mentor new believers toward spiritual, emotional, and relational maturity. Raise up an army of leader-makers, like Barnabas, who will patiently invest time and wisdom into the lives of future leaders. Lord of the Harvest, grant us discernment in spotting, engaging, and mobilizing workers for Your mission field. Keep us from the snare of pride, and help us build leaders marked by humility, integrity, and Christlike character. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Severed Conscience

This week we continue to answer the following question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we uncover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to oppose God’s people, along with specific antidotes to address them. (See the introduction to this series for an overview.)

Tactic 11: Severed Conscience

“Our enemy attacks the conscience little by little, seeking to wear us down, until he eventually erodes a leader's resolve to fight the good fight.” – Gary Rohrmayer

Text: 1 Timothy 1:18–20
Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith. Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

Problem:
“Satan can use a lack of responsiveness to one’s conscience to eventually destroy a leader, remove them from ministry, and even cause them to blaspheme what they once believed. The antidote is keeping a clear conscience and holding firmly to the truths of the Christian faith.” – J. Robert Clinton

Antidote:
“On the one hand, don’t go against your conscience. On the other hand, allow God to shape your inner life and correct wrongly held ideas that influence your conscience.” – J. Robert Clinton

Reflective Questions

If the enemy were to attack one area of your life, where would you be most vulnerable?

If the enemy were to attack one area of the church, where would it be most vulnerable?

When was the last time you engaged in a rigorous spiritual inventory of your own conscience?

When was the last time the church gathered corporately for public confession and repentance?

Prayer Response

Father of Light, search me and know my heart. Reveal anything offensive in my life. Holy Father, guard my conscience through daily confession, a hunger for the pure truth of Your Word, and a deep awareness of Your holy presence. Righteous Father, give me a humble spirit and a teachable attitude to receive correction from others. Help me to keep short accounts, live at peace with all people, and maintain a heart that is always tender and pliable before You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

False Signs and Wonders

This week we continue exploring the question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we uncover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to oppose God’s people—along with Spirit-empowered antidotes to resist them.

Tactic 10: False Signs and Wonders

"Loving and clinging to the truth are the keys to overcoming the counterfeit activity of the enemy." – Gary Rohrmayer

Biblical Foundation

2 Thessalonians 2:9–12 –
“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.”

Paul warns believers of the enemy’s strategy to deceive through spectacular but counterfeit works. Satan does not only oppose through persecution or discouragement—he also seeks to imitate God’s power in order to lead people astray.

The Problem: Deception Through Counterfeits

J. Robert Clinton cautions:

“Satan can do signs and wonders through a leader so that the leader looks as if he/she is empowered of God (apostolic workers also do signs and wonders).”

The danger lies in equating outward demonstrations of power with spiritual authenticity. Throughout Scripture, false prophets performed wonders that dazzled the crowds but ultimately pointed them away from the living God (Exodus 7:11–12; Matthew 24:24). Leaders who chase after the spectacular without testing the source can easily be ensnared.

The Antidote: Cultivating Discernment

Clinton again offers wise counsel:

“Get discernment on apparent good teaching, apparent dynamic leaders. This may involve having to depend on people with revelatory gifts (discerning of spirits; a word of knowledge; a word of prophecy; a word of wisdom, etc.).”

Discernment is not optional for God’s people—it is essential. It comes through:

Love for the Truth – A heart anchored in Scripture and unwilling to compromise.

Testing the Spirits – Obedience to 1 John 4:1: “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”

Healthy Leadership Accountability – Elders and deacons are called to “hold firmly to the trustworthy message” (Titus 1:9).

Operation of Spiritual Gifts – God equips the church with gifts of discernment, wisdom, and knowledge to guard His people (1 Corinthians 12:7–11).

When the church practices both theological soundness and Spirit-led discernment, she becomes resilient against counterfeit movements.

Reflective Questions

Why were the Bereans considered of more noble character than the Thessalonians? (See Acts 17:10–12)

What implications does Acts 17:10–12 have for Paul’s warnings in today’s text?

Why do some church leaders feel uncomfortable examining and testing the teaching of others in the local church?

What is one of the qualifications and duties of elders and deacons? (See Titus 1:9; 1 Timothy 3:9)

How do the gifts of discernment, knowledge, prophecy, and wisdom function in your local church? (See 1 Corinthians 12:7–11)

Prayer

Father of Light, protect Your church, the Bride of Christ, from the counterfeit actions of the enemy. May we be found as lovers of the truth, standing strong with discerning hearts and sensitive spirits. May the noble character of the Bereans be our example—they received the gospel eagerly while diligently testing everything against Your Word. Grant us spiritual discernment, raise up leaders who uphold sound doctrine, and empower us to think correctly and practice truth faithfully. Guard us from deception and anchor us firmly in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closed Doors

This week we continue exploring the question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God’s great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we see fourteen tactical strategies that the enemy uses to oppose God’s people, along with biblical antidotes for each.

Tactic 9: Closed Doors

"Hearing God’s voice is indispensable to moving through or around closed doors." – Gary Rohrmayer

Biblical Foundation
1 Thessalonians 2:18 – “For we wanted to come to you—certainly I, Paul, did, again and again—but Satan stopped us.”

Paul’s desire to minister in Thessalonica was good, holy, and mission-driven. Yet he recognized that his path was being obstructed—not by God, but by the enemy. This text reminds us that not every closed door is divine guidance. Sometimes, the adversary actively resists our obedience and mission.

The Problem: Misinterpreting Closed Doors

J. Robert Clinton warns:
“Satan can block a believer’s guidance. So closed doors are not always clear guidance.”

Leaders often assume that when circumstances shut us out of opportunities, God must be redirecting us. While that can be true (see Acts 16:6–8), we must also discern whether resistance is spiritual opposition rather than divine redirection. Without discernment, leaders can grow discouraged, misinterpret God’s will, and abandon Kingdom opportunities prematurely.

The Antidote: Seeking Confirmed Guidance

Clinton offers this wisdom:
“Get certainty guidance. Let all of the major guidance elements give weight to your guidance: God’s Voice in the Word; God’s Voice in the Heart; God’s Voice in Circumstances; God’s Voice in the Church.”

Discernment requires a holistic listening posture:

The Word of God – Our primary compass, grounding us in God’s eternal purposes.

The Spirit’s witness in our hearts – The Spirit brings peace or unrest as confirmation.

Circumstances – God can both open and close opportunities to direct us.

The Church – Wise, Spirit-filled counsel brings clarity and protection from deception.

When all four align, leaders can move forward with greater confidence.

Reflective Questions

How can you tell when a closed door is from God versus the enemy? (See Acts 16:6–8)

How do you let the Word of God shape your decision-making as a church leader?

How do you slow down enough to hear God’s voice in leading the church? (See Acts 13:1–2)

How do you interpret God’s leading through both favorable and unfavorable circumstances?

How do you listen for God’s voice through the church community?

Prayer

Father in Heaven, give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church and through the church. May our lives be saturated with Your Word so that all our decisions align with Your revealed purposes and promises. Teach us to seek You in worship, fasting, and prayer as we lead Your people. Protect us from discouragement when we face opposition. Strengthen us to stand against the enemy’s schemes and to press forward with courageous faith in Your mission. We pray this in the great and mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lies, Half-Truths & Unreliable Perspectives

This week, we continue answering the following question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we will discover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to attack God’s people—along with specific antidotes for addressing each one. (See the Introduction to this series for an overview of the subject.)

Tactic 8: Lies, Half-Truths & Unreliable Perspectives

Text: Ephesians 6:10–20

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes... [passage continues as quoted]”

Problem:

“Satan uses lies or half-truths to trick believers and give unreliable perspectives on their lives and situations.”
J. Robert Clinton

Here are some specific strategies Satan employs:

Satan uses a lack of righteousness (ongoing unrighteousness in a believer’s life) as an inroad into their life.

He uses a lack of testimony to weaken a believer’s stand.

He causes believers to doubt God—His character, His dealings, and His truth.

He robs believers of the impact of salvation in their lives.

He keeps believers from using the Word of God to combat his tactics.

He discourages believers from praying in the Spirit as they confront his attacks.

He prevents people from being alert to his schemes and discerning his involvement.

Antidotes:

See the imperatives in Ephesians 6:10–20 (J. Robert Clinton)

Be strong in the Lord (v.10)

Put on the full armor of God (vv.11, 13)

Stand firm (v.14)

Take up the shield of faith (v.16)

Be alert (v.18)

Keep on praying (v.18)

Reflective Questions:

If Satan were to attack your life, what area would he target?

If Satan were to attack your church, what segment would he try to penetrate?

What half-truths has Satan used to attack your church?

What lies has Satan used to attack your church?

What false or unreliable perspectives has Satan used to influence your church?

What unconfessed sin exists—both individually and corporately—in your church?

How are you educating your church and its leadership on the tactics of our enemy?

How is the gospel having a transformative effect on both new and seasoned believers? (Titus 2:11–14)

Prayer:

Father in heaven, help us to be lovers of the truth, to live in the strength of the Lord, and to actively put on the armor of God.

Teach us how to stand firm by daily applying Your truth to our lives, by embracing Your righteousness in our hearts, and by being ready to engage in spiritual conversations at a moment’s notice.

Righteous Father, teach us how to take up the shield of faith, so we are ready to defend against the enemy’s attacks.

Holy Father, teach us to wield Your Word like a sword, defeating the personal assaults of the devil.

Loving Father, just as You have stood with the saints of the past, we trust that You are standing with us now—and for that, we give thanks.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

Sickness & Disabilities

This week, we continue exploring the question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we will discover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to attack God's people, along with specific antidotes to address each one. (See the introduction to this series for an overview of this subject.)

Tactic 7. Sickness & Disabilities

Text: II Corinthians 12:7
"To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me."

Problem:
Satan can use physical sickness or disability to prey upon a believer and instill doubts about God and His enabling grace. But God can also use these challenges to prevent abuse of power and pride in a leader’s life.
J. Robert Clinton

Antidote:
Don’t let sickness rob you of your trust in God. Seek His enabling grace (whether or not He chooses to heal you).
J. Robert Clinton

Reflective Questions:

Are you experiencing any physical limitations or prolonged pain in your life at this time?

Is anyone in your church currently experiencing physical limitations or prolonged pain?

If so, how would you describe the level of discouragement you're facing? (Scale of 1 = minimal discouragement to 10 = extreme discouragement)

Have you experienced intense doubts about God's love, power, or grace in your life and ministry?

Can you see any good coming from what you are experiencing right now? (Romans 8:28)

Prayer:
Father in Heaven, grant us the discernment to see behind the illnesses we endure—whether they are discouraging attacks from the enemy or Your loving discipline meant to promote holiness in Your church. Help us to stand strong in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10) and to trust in Your sovereign purpose (Hebrews 12:7–11).

Father, save us from doubting Your love, power, and presence in our lives. Teach us to run toward You and to embrace Your grace in humble dependence. In the strong name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Unchecked Anger

This week, we continue to answer the following question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders with the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we will discover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to attack God’s people—along with specific antidotes to address each issue. (See the introduction to this series for an overview of the topic.)

“An angry leader is a scared leader, or a hurt leader, or a frustrated leader—but most of all, they are a vulnerable leader.”
— Gary Rohrmayer

Tactic 6: Unchecked Anger

Text: Ephesians 4:25–27
“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. ‘In your anger do not sin’: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

Problem:

“Satan can use anger in life to gain inroads into life and eventually control that life through the anger.”
— J. Robert Clinton

Antidote:

“Get help if anger controls you. This may require inner healing. Also, recognize the benefits of anger.”
— J. Robert Clinton

Reflective Questions

What are the triggers of anger that easily beset you?

Hurts or offenses?

Fear or worry?

Frustrations or misunderstandings?

What does James say man’s anger produces? (James 1:20)

What are the ways you naturally express anger?

Do you silently stuff those feelings?

Do you explosively express them?

What can the church do to better protect itself from the enemy’s grip in this area?

List the qualifications of elders and deacons that speak to the issue of emotional maturity in:

1 Timothy 3:1–11

Titus 1:5–9

When is righteous anger warranted, and how should it be expressed?

Prayer

Father in Heaven, grant us wisdom to understand the triggers of anger that so easily beset our souls, that distract from Your mission, and hinder Your church. Teach us how to appropriately express our anger in ways that lead to emotional health and relational intimacy.

Father, help us to be humble enough to seek help when we are under the enemy’s grip and stuck in our anger. Teach us to keep short accounts and to speak the truth in love. Keep our hearts soft in Your grace, not hardened by anger.

Grant us the grace to rid ourselves of all bitterness, rage, and anger, along with brawling, slander, and every form of malice. Empower us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave us.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Deceptive Leaders with Slick Teaching

This week, we continue to answer the following question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we will uncover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to attack God’s people—along with specific biblical antidotes to counter them. (See the introduction to this series for an overview.)

Tactic 5: Deceptive Leaders with Slick Teaching

“Even Satan can quote Scripture out of context—why are we surprised when men do it?” — Gary Rohrmayer

Text:
2 Corinthians 11:14–15
"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."

The Problem

“Satan can counterfeit good things that attract believers (e.g., apparent good teaching, false apostles). Satan can appear like a messenger from God to deceive Christians.” — J. Robert Clinton

Satan’s most dangerous lies often come wrapped in half-truths. He uses smooth-talking, charismatic leaders who appear righteous on the surface but lead believers away from God’s truth.

The Antidote

“Get discernment on apparent good teaching and dynamic leaders. This may involve having to depend on people with revelatory gifts (discerning of spirits, word of knowledge, word of prophecy, word of wisdom, etc.).” — J. Robert Clinton

Pray for and cultivate discernment.

Encourage a Berean spirit—examining everything in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11).

Value and listen to those with discernment and revelatory gifts within the Body.

Test all teaching against the whole counsel of God’s Word.

Reflective Questions

When was the last time you prayed for the spiritual protection of your church?

Would you describe your church as having the spirit of the Bereans (Acts 17:11)?

How dependent are you on the revelatory gifts of Scripture?

Who in your circles demonstrates and exercises these gifts with integrity?

Prayer

Father of Light, protect my life from the deception of the enemy, and protect Your church from false teachers and hirelings. Produce in us a spiritual depth and a hunger for Your truth. May we have the noble character of the Bereans—receiving Your Word with eagerness and examining the Scriptures daily. Grant Your church the gift of discernment to see behind slick or even seemingly successful teaching. Let sound doctrine be promoted and embraced throughout Your church. Teach us to think correctly and practice truth appropriately—for Your glory and honor.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

An Unforgiving Spirit

This week we continue to answer the following question:
How does God’s enemy come after His people and His leaders for the sole purpose of distracting, disrupting, and derailing them from being involved in God's great mission?

As we survey Pauline literature, we will discover fourteen tactical strategies the enemy uses to come after God's people, along with specific antidotes to address each problem. See the introduction to this series for an overview of this subject.

4. An Unforgiving Spirit

"Forgiveness and restoration are two different acts. Forgiveness can lead to restoration, but restoration is not hinged to forgiveness." – Gary Rohrmayer

Text: 2 Corinthians 2:7–11
"Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."

Problem:
"Satan can use lack of forgiveness and failure to receive one who repents to control a church situation." – J. Robert Clinton

Antidote:
"Accept those back whom God has forgiven and who have shown genuine repentance." – J. Robert Clinton

Reflective Questions:

What is the difference between forgiveness and restoration?

How can an unforgiving spirit harm the life of a follower of Jesus? (Ephesians 4:25–32)

How can an unforgiving spirit harm the mission of the local church?

How can a forgiving spirit help the life of a follower of Jesus?

How can a forgiving spirit aid the advancement of the mission of the local church?

Prayer:

Father in Heaven,
Protect my soul and Your church from an unforgiving spirit. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us—with compassion and completeness. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, enable us to put away unwholesome talk concerning the offender. Teach us to use language that builds up the church, promotes peace, and exemplifies the gospel. Show us how to remove the roots of bitterness, explosive rage, unchecked anger, and abusive and malicious words. Teach us to put on kindness and compassion toward those who have offended us, so the world will see Your forgiveness in action and believe that You sent Your Son into the world as a ransom for sin.

I offer this prayer in the name of my God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
