Inaugural post

That title sounds as though there should be something significant writ here.  But no, it’s just my first.  I am Gary Bullock, author of Elsewhen, the novel, as well as the screenplay on which it is based.  After trying to sort out the advice from various self-styled screenwriting gurus, and realizing at last, that even if my story was made into a movie, it would likely bear little resemblance to my original concept, I decided to write it as a novel, albeit a short one, and write it as I felt keenly it should be.  So there.  I found, among other things, that I very much enjoy writing in this form, and plan to write a sequel to Elsewhen as soon as I get my ducks in a row.  I invite any and all to comment here, but please keep it to the generally broad subject of the site, and leave your politics at home.  This is supposed to be fun.
