Born in 1962, Steven Henry (né D’Amico) is the illustrator of several picture books for children, including the award-winning Ella The Elegant Elephant (2004) and The Hanukkah Hop! (2011).

In 2015 he has two new picture books arriving on shelves: It’s Raining Bats & Frogs (Macmillan) with author Rebecca Colby, and A Lucky Author Has A Dog (Scholastic) with author Mary Lyn Ray.

Another book, All Kinds Of Kisses (Macmillan) is due out in 2016.

From 2000 to 2014 Mr. Henry served as an art director and illustrator at Seattle-based Smashing Ideas. There he had the privilege of working with producers and educational consultants at companies like PBS Kids, Nick Jr., and Mattel.
