Desert Resurrection was published on April 2, 2026. I am planning a trip to my beloved Mojave Desert later this month and will begin on the fourteenth book in the Smoke Tree Series when I return.

"Desert Resurrection" is nearing completion. It should be published late this month or early in March. The novel opens with the death of Dr. Walkley after a fall from the Stepladder Mountains. A retired heart surgeon from Minnesota, Dr. Walkley, had retired early following the death of his wife and spent years travelling the world in a search to understand his life, his beloved's death, and the true nature of the world around him.

His last words, whispered to Chemehuevi Joe, lead Joe on a search for children who may be in danger in an isolated part of the desert.

I am about a third of the way through the next book in the Smoke Tree Series: Desert Resurrection.

The twelfth book in the Smoke Tree Series, "Mojave Desert Jezebeth," will be finished this summer. I'm having great fun writing it.

The new book, "The Desert in the Desert Wind," is selling well, and lots of people are reading it via the Kindle Unlimited Library platform. I love it when people read the stories that I enjoy writing!

As often happens when I'm writing a novel, the characters I have created are beginning to tell me what they want to do, as opposed to what I had planned for them to do. As a result, the book's title has changed, as has the story's arc. I love it when this kind of thing happens.

I have started work on the eleventh book in the Smoke Tree Series, "One of Ours." The storylines and new characters that have been swirling around in my head are coalescing.
