Third Novel: Coming Soon!
So it’s now 2017. A lot has changed over the years since the release of my debut novel, Insperatus, and it’s sequel, Infectus. I thank you for tuning in here!
To recap my sparse 2016 post, I have had many life changes in the past few years. While writing will always be important to me, family has become my priority. I was married in 2015, and as of this post am four months pregnant with my first child. I lost the little furry love of my life this past February, and that has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to deal with. But, a successor was chosen and he is doing a good job filling the big shoes of my lost love, Ming. Aside from all that, I have grown in my career as a nurse, now working as a Director of Quality and Risk Management in healthcare. All big things!
That said, the writing never stopped. Not long after “Infectus” was released, I began work on a totally different novel – something set in America versus England, taking place twenty years after the stories told in my first two books. A novel set in the American Civil War, this newest story gave me the opportunity to merge my nursing career with my love for history in an entirely new way.
Finally, a few years after its conception, “State of Ruin” was finally submitted to the publisher this month. A synopsis of the storyline is available under the tab at the top of the page. I am so excited to share this new storyline with you!
As always, I can’t wait to hear your feedback. I haven’t forgotten about all of you who have remained kind enough to check my site from time to time, and read my first two books. I hope this third addition to my little library will please all around.
I will keep you updated in the coming months as things progress. In the meantime, thanks for reading – both my posts and my books – and talk to you soon. If you haven’t already, I do hope you purchase a copy of my novels Insperatus and Infectus. When you do – email me! I love to receive feedback, and more than anything – REVIEWS. Go to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, etc.. Write reviews. What’s more, head to Facebook and like and share my page, Author: Kelly Varesio. Word of mouth is the best way to help spread the word!
Thanks again for checking out my page!

Welcome!
So it’s 2016. A lot has changed over the years since the release of my debut novel, Insperatus, and it’s sequel, Infectus. I thank you for tuning in here!
I was recently married (this past November to be exact), moved to a new home, got a dog and another cat (for a total of three cats now), and work full time as a nursing instructor. I adore my job and being a wife (with the new last name of ‘Edelman,’ for those who are wondering), and now that the dust has settled I’m excited to finally return to the writing realm!
I spent years promoting my first two sister novels, as well as my artwork, attending conventions such as Wizard (Comic Con) and Monster Mania. While I am presently unable to attend those due to my schedule, I am happy to say that through it all I’ve been working on a third novel – one entirely unrelated to my first two.
My newest brainchild, State of Ruin, is an entirely different kind of novel. It is set during the American Civil War and falls into the historical romance genre. As a history geek (easy enough to tell if you read Insperatus and Infectus), I was burning to write about my favorite time period in US history – the Civil War. Fascinated by the war pitting brother against brother, I knew my next story would thrive and grow through the outlet of the 1860s.
I can’t wait to share my newest novel with you – when it’s published! I’m so excited to say that I FINISHED it this past week, after a few years of hard work and a pouring out of my heart and soul, and I’m currently in the editing phases and the search for an agent. Soon, there will be a tab on this site for you to read an excerpt and explore some pertinent info related to the book.
In the meantime, I do hope you purchase a copy of my novels Insperatus and Infectus, if you haven’t already, and when you do – email me! I love to receive feedback, and more than anything – REVIEWS. 2012 drawing to a close!
There’s nothing quite like publishing a manuscript – & 2012 was the release of my second. In the midst of school & work as a nurse, I am so blessed to have such wonderful family & friends support me in the release of Infectus. It has been the most exciting thing in life so far to have put out the love story of Rein & Traith for the world to read, & I can’t wait to see what the next few years hold. I will be scheduling events for 2013 where I can sell both books & artwork, & in the meantime continue to develop a whole new story – one that hatched & began to develop during my travels through Civil War territory. I can’t wait until I can share that story with you all too! Keep in touch, & if you’re Facebook-friendly, like my page “Insperatus by Kelly Varesio” for frequent updates. Happy holidays!

Philly Con 2012!
So ends another great convention weekend. I got to see Stan Lee, father of Marvel comics… he’s one of my heroes! Anddddd I bought a bunch of new T-shirts that I totally don’t need… but c’est la vie. It was so great to see some old faces picking up the new book, and I was really glad to get some newbies on board with Insperatus! Thanks to all of you, and thanks for checking out this website. I would love to get some more reviews for the book, so if you have any comments or questions, or would like to leave a review, please feel free to send an email to kvaresio@aol.com, or info@kellyvaresio.com. And if you haven’t already, facebook me: “Insperatus by Kelly Varesio,” and Twitter @Kelly_Varesio. Have a great summer!

Wizard World Comic Con, Philly!
So I'm super stoked that the Philly Comic Con is four days long this year (May 31, June 1-3), & for the first time that I can remember Stan Lee, creator of Marvel comics, is gonna be there! I am more excited to meet him than anyone else there, including Chris Hemsworth (Thor), William Shatner, Hayden Panettiere, the Walking Dead cast, and a ton of other celebs. It's gonna be great this year, especially since it'll be the first time Infectus will see a Con! If you've never been, this show is definitely worth checking out, and you can come see me over in Artists Alley doing commission artwork and selling copies of my books! I'd love to see youuuu.
Head on over to http://www.wizardworldcomiccon.com/ho... for all the info. Other than Wizard, I have an upcoming signing over at Bogarts Books in Millville, during their 3rd Friday block party starting at 6, and will also be doing Collingswood in October (check the events tab up top for details). As of now those are the only three events I'll be doing in 2012, so be sure to see me at one of them! As always, thanks for being such great books fans! Happy Easter!

Infectus is LIVE!
FINALLY! Just got word from my publisher last night that my latest novel & sequel to Insperatus is officially available for purchase! Infectus is now being printed & processed by all major retailer websites like Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million, though it may take a few more weeks for it to be entirely uploaded into their systems. It will also be available for purchase here on the official website, too. This is a super exciting time for me, & I appreciate all of you who read Insperatus & are ready for number two. I will be lining up signings & events for this year, so check back for a date you could visit me personally to buy your copy! Or if you simply can't wait, purchase Infectusonline, & once you've read it, be sure to leave a comment or review here on the website, or on my Facebook page @Insperatus by Kelly Varesio. Be sure & read or print the "Infectus: The Sequel" tab above for some awesome supplemental information to have when you're reading the new book. Everything from where the characters lived to where they traveled is there and they're all real, historical sites. Thank you readers so much for making this possible; after three years, I can finally toast to the publication of my second novel! Buy your copy today! Cheers!

We’re weeks away!
Okay guys – publication is moving right along! We’re weeks away from the release of the newest edition of Insperatus, and I can’t wait to reveal the revamped cover! Because of the changes in its production and publisher, there may be a lapse in time when Insperatus will not be available for purchase online, but it won’t last long. That also means that the release of Infectus is following closely! Within the next few days I’ll post the official Infectus back cover summary, and hopefully a few other tidbits to prepare you all for a fiery sequel. Stay in touch with my FB @Insperatus by Kelly Varesio, & Twitter @Kelly_Varesio for updates!
