Favorite Romantic Movie Scenes of All Time: Benny and the Jets Anyone?

It’s probably no great secret to anyone by now that I’m a huge movie hound. I started off working in the film business prior to my agent/author life, and have a special appreciation of film and television as an art form. I love all kinds of flicks, from the artier/indie ones to the grossly commercial summer blockbusters. I also get very wrapped up in certain television shows like MAD MEN or PARENTHOOD or SCANDAL.

But I’m especially a sucker for romantic movies, and like most romance authors probably have a list of movies with favorite romantic scenes. So I thought it would be fun to do a little blog series about some of my fave romantic moments in movies. I tried this once before on my old blog, but never really went anywhere with it. So let's try it here on Goodreads.

To launch, let’s start with 27 DRESSES and the Bennie and the Jets scene. As if it’s not already adorable enough—as if James Marsters isn’t made of yum—that moment when he hops off the bar and finally admits that he “cried like a baby at the Keller wedding.” This, after telling her he didn’t even remember writing that particular wedding column in an effort to seem jaded and cynical.

You know, he could be a good Chris Harper in the Parallel Series. But I could also see Chris Pine playing Chris Harper. Who would you see in that role? Since Chris's book, PARALLEL FRENZY will come next…it's worth thinking about!

Take a peek at this funny, charming and romantic scene from 27 DRESSES:
