The Wedding Tree

THE WEDDING TREE is a first for me in a couple of ways. First of all, it's the first time I've written women's fiction instead of romance-- although it has some romance in it. Secondly, it's the first time I'm written historical fiction; half of the book is set in World War II-era New Orleans. And thirdly, it's the first time I written in first person-- directly speaking as three different characters.
It's gotten very positive reviews. i hope you'll read it for yourself, then post a review saying what you think!

Here's a summary of the story:The Wedding Tree
When 91-year-old Adelaide McCauley falls, the doctors insist she must move to assisted living— but she refuses to leave her home without personally sorting through her belongings. Her granddaughter, 31-year-old artist Hope Stevens, comes to Wedding Tree, Louisiana, to help— but Hope needs to do some sorting of her own.  Recently divorced, she’s lost her job in Chicago, her inheritance, and, most critically, her faith in herself.

As they spend the summer together in the quaint small town, the free-spirited elderly woman tells Hope about a wartime romance that left her torn between two men and haunted by a bone-chilling secret. She asks Hope’s help in uncovering the truth before it’s too late… and in the process, Hope discovers some key truths of her own.
