Robert Ronsson lives in the Severn Valley with his wife Valerie. They have three children and two grandchildren. Robert retired early from his career in financial services to start writing full-time.
His first novel No Mean Affair was the result of research into his father's belief that he was the illegitimate son of a famous Glasgow politician.
Robert's interest in cinema led him to write Out of Such Darkness which was inspired, in part, by the film Cabaret. This was followed by the second in what is now The Movie Series of novels, Once Upon a Time in Chinatown.
Robert and Valerie help run a community cinema in their town.

Flesh by David Szalay
"I'm treating Flesh at least in part as a tar-black comedy. I mean, how else are you meant to react to this guy's monosyllabism and insane passivity? Szalay knows exactly what he's doing - this novel is first and foremost a brilliant exercise in style" Read more of this review »

Robert Ronsson Thanks, Magenta. I noticed that you'd 'liked' a couple of my reviews and thought we should be friends. We don't have any books in common yet! I still find it difficult to navigate this site so I'm having trouble finding your reviews. Could you send me a link so I can cut the scrabbling around!
