A lifelong resident of Long Island and a co-founder of a nonprofit neighborhood association, L.S. brings the joy of community and belonging to life through her characters. As an avid volunteer, she has instilled hope and granted wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for over twenty years. The New York State Assembly has recognized her as a Woman of Distinction.
