John Petrelli has been a professional fitness coach for over 30 years, having worked alongside some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, from Grammy-Award-winning recording artists to A-list Hollywood actors. I pick music that has a similar flavor of what I'm currently stuck on. Many times it has this wild ability to navigate me to where I need to be. It relaxes me. It opens my mind to possibilities. A walk in nature forces me to be present - this is also so true of Jiu-Jitsu. Once I'm done with Jiu-Jitsu and I've been sweating for an hour and defending being choked for an hour. Writing seems to be easy again. (less)

I had teachers p…moreThe best thing about being a writer - is knowing that you can overcome any obstacle. It is weird for me to even answer that question. I had teachers pass me in high school just so they would never have to see me again. I spell so bad that sometimes spellcheck can't figure out what I'm trying to articulate. It is about freeing my mind and accessing a different part of my mentality that was dormant for many years. (less)

Danny - sheds light on all the areas of his life that many of us may not feel comfortable talking about - or even thinking about. The book is very well written and inspirational. I highly recommend this book.
