Joseph Saba, MD, is an infectious disease physician working on the frontline of access to healthcare since the early days of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. He served in the World Health Organization and the United Nations Program on AIDS, where he led a global research effort on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS and established the first access program for antiretrovirals in low- and middle income countries. For the last twenty-five years, Joseph has led Axios International, a healthcare access company he co-founded, which has developed programs to improve patient access to healthcare in more than 100 countries.
