When I last visited Ireland in May 2023, we visited the Kerry Bog Village. I had seen the village at Bunratty Castle in March of 2002, but it wasn’t open this time.

Research by viewing an authentic cottage was for historical authenticity. We can view photos of everything and everywhere on the internet now, and I love that, but stepping inside of a building can’t be beat. All one’s senses notice more detail to include in a story.

In Chapter 1, I describe Mick Muldoon’s 1866 surroundings and setting as he grieves. I wanted to do it justice. See what you think when you read it!

Hope is a powerful motivator and urges us forward. It works for me! Hope is what MICK MULDOON clings to when he has lost loved ones again. He’s lost others before that.

Faith, hope, and love remain, these three, after all else is gone.

Dearest Words of Blessing … Words contain power, right? Whether written or spoken. This quote is from a devotion I read this past week. My mama was exemplary in protecting my spirit with her words.

Jesus admonished everyone to protect their hearts. He knows this even better than my mama.
