Today I mourn the loss of Rocky Wood, president of the Horror Writers Association. Under his leadership, the HWA really blossomed, becoming a place for writers and others in the horror industry to hang their hats and call home. He was kind, gracious, supportive, and inspiring. Rest in peace, Rocky. I will miss you.

My story "Casting Lots" is now available on Kindle in the anthology SONGS OF THE SATYRS, edited by Aaron J. French and published by Angelic Knight Press (print version to follow in a couple of weeks.) It's got a nice TOC with stories by Mark Valentine, Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire, John Langan, Rhys Hughes, David Farland, S. J. Hirons, and more, as well as an introduction by Gene O'Neill.

Just learned my story "Casting Lots" will be coming out this April in Songs of the Satyrs, an anthology edited by Aaron J. French and published by Angelic Knight Press, featuring all-original satyr fiction from John Langan, Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire, Rhys Hughes, David Farland, Joshua M. Reynolds, Mark Valentine, and others, with a new introduction by Gene O'Neill. It will be available in both trade and e-book formats.

Pretty tragic that all my posts of late have been to honor the recently departed.
