My grandfather served in the Navy in WWII and my great-uncle was a B-17 pilot, so I grew up hearing stories about the war and was always fascinated by the time period. Passion for history drives me to research and make my stories as authentic as possible. Through my novels, I hope to honor the real-life heroes both in the military and on the Home Front.(less)

Sarah Sundin How fun! I love your comments, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Believe me, I wanted to toss Cracker too :) But he has some growing to do... By the way, that incident was inspired by a real plane from the 306th BG that ditched just offshore - weighted down with booze! It was too funny not to play with. Ella Rose wrote: "Yay! Thanks for being my goodreads friend! I'm reading "A Distant Melody," and I LOVE it!! (First of your books I've ever read).
I've been posting my thoughts as I progress. I think you would enjoy..."

Julia Reffner You're welcome. And yes, I'm loving A Distant Melody so far! Can't wait for A Memory Between Us!

I'm glad to see you gave Rain Song and Chasing Lilacs 5 stars, 2 books I've very much been looking forward to reading. Why do I accumulate these so fast and then can never keep up?!

Thanks, Melissa! As for Ray and Helen, you'll have to read Book 3. However, I will tell you Ray and Helen are the hero and heroine. Whether or not they end up together... :)

Jack and Ruth, and it was a blast to write - their banter just flowed. All I did was transcribe it :) I'm going through the galleys right now, so we're right on schedule.
