TIK TOK

This day a year ago I posted my first ever Tik Tok to promote my book (@bel_writesx). The way this book has developed in the last year is honestly mind blowing to me.
Thank you all so much for your ongoing support and for taking an interest in the story that is incredibly close to my heart. It means the world to me.
Also, I'm finished school forever after my final exam today! It honestly doesn't feel real. It hasn't been an easy journey for me so I'm really proud of myself for getting through it. I will continue to promote my book speaking out against the lack of support systems in schools as others still and will continue to suffer from it.
Even after that Maths Paper 1 Exam here in Ireland, more people have finally caught on to the fact that exams can put so much pressure on people and can easily set them up to fail. I'm delighted to say that I can see change happening in the next decade or two...
Okay that's all I have to say. Thank you all so much again xo

About my Book.

Hi everyone. "The Prosperous Exams" was released yesterday and I am already blown away by all the support. It really means a lot to me.

To give you all more context, this book is about a fictional exam system, set in a fictional society that demands perfection from its students.
However, it is primarily based on exam/school systems from around the world, and the issues that come with them all. For example, where I live we sit an exam called The Leaving Certificate. This exam determines whether we get into college or not. The more points you get, the better opportunities you have. They don't care about anything else you have done or who you are as a person, it's all about the high numbers.
There ARE other options to get to college in this country, but they are not promoted at all at school or by some parents who think they are for underachieving students. It is very toxic, as not everyone can live up to these high expectations, including myself in certain subjects.
"The Prosperous Exams" are based on this system, except there are no other options outside of it. This symbolises that the stigma in my country is to do well in the Leaving Cert or else you have "no future" even though there is a way around it. People just don't want to believe it, and I think that is wrong.

So yeah, I hope that makes sense. I'm guessing that many other countries have this issue too. I'm hoping it won't be normalised in the coming years,
