Mike Shevdon lives in South Yorkshire, England, with his wife, where he pursues the various masteries of archery, technology, and cookery. His love of Fantasy & SF started in the 70s with C S Lewis, Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asimov and continued through Alan Garner, Ursula Le Guin and Barbara Hambly. More recent influences include Mike Carey, Phil Rickman, Neil Gaiman, and Robert Crais, among many others.

He has studied martial arts for many years, mainly aikido and archery. Friends have sometimes remarked that his pastimes always seem to involve something sharp or pointy. The pen should therefore be no surprise, though he’s still trying to figure out how to get an edge on a laptop.

Do you think you will ever return to the Courts of Feyre? Are you working on anything else for the future?

As you will have seen from my blog articles I thought I was done with The Courts of the Feyre, but I'm not sure…more Hi Gina, and thanks for the question. As you will have seen from my blog articles I thought I was done with The Courts of the Feyre, but I'm not sure it's done with me. There are some unanswered questions and a lot of people are asking what happens next. I don't want to pre-empt any announcement but I think I will return to it, yes. Sorry if that's vague but hopefully I will be able to be more open soon.
As for other work, I have two quite separate projects active at the moment. One is SF and the other is contemporary fantasy, so very different from each other.

Hi Mike, I was just curious if you had anything being released in the near future? I read The Court of Fey several years back and have been excited to see what you else you have in store, in that world or another!

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier - I missed this in amongst some other things that are going on.

Yes, I do have other work in progress, but it's unlikely to be finished in the near future. There's a whole load of things that have gone on in the background, notwithstanding the current crisis, which have affected how I do things and how much time I can devote to it. That includes my publisher going into administration, and family issues, so not easy things to resolve.

I hope to be able to devote more time to writing in the near future, so there should be news in the mid-term. I hope you've enjoyed the books so far - I'm working on a 5th book in the series, which was not in the plan, but sometimes these things have a mind of their own.
