Return of the Sagan
Return of the Sagan, my first Scifi novel, is now out. What is it about? In a nutshell, Humanity now longer exists on Earth, and when a group of human explorers returns (well, at least their decedents return), they discover that other creatures have taken control (including some prehistoric beasts that went extinct 10,000 years ago). No, there are no dinosaurs, sorry). Maybe next time. Seem like a tired theme? Well, here is the fly in the ointment of tradition. The protagonist is an anthropologist battling severe OCD. He joins with a group of Marines to land on Earth and establish a base. Why him? He is the only person on board their vessel (the space shuttle USS Sagan) with any knowledge of the region where they land). A fantasy and scifi fan, the protagonist proceeds to insert terms and ideas from his favorite scifi/fantasy franchises, which slowly transforms the crew almost into a collective of characters from Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings. Together, these adventures explore a world where they are the hunted rather than the hunters.

Happy July!
Hi everyone:
I hope you are enjoying your summer! For me, a number of book projects are in the works, which includes a scifi novel titled, 'Return of the Sagan'. Return of the Sagan centers on the crew of the generational ship, the U.S.S. Sagan, which has returned to Earth after 300 years to find the planet void of human life. I will be posting a few chapters of the book soon and hope you will check in for the updates! Best wishes to you all for a save and fun-filled summer.
Sincerely,
Neil
